Easy comes, easy goes

Girl leaving

How easy is to get rid of people! We have socks sometimes older than our current relationship. Everything is done in a constant run towards total happiness and when somebody does not match, we leave him/her behind without trying to adjust or to change something in that person.

And why should we adjust, as time is so limited and we are, usually, perfect. But perfection in our eyes sometimes is mere average in the eyes of somebody else. And this is hard to accept. Better we ditch that person and move on to the next one who will build us a statue.

By doing this, we just perpetuate the average and we refuse evolution, although in our mind we call this evolution. But starting over and over the same thing is eroding our capability to evolve. Just imagine that Egyptians would start to build the first 2-3 layers of the Great Pyramids and then tear them down. Then start again a few tens of times. Would we have nowadays the single World Wonder in Egypt?

I feel pity for those who burn everything around them, for the fear of not being burned themselves. It better to run than being disappointed, they say. But what if something great would arise if you stay?
